Introduction
After an injury to an immediate family member in late 2015, and after viewings of the PBS television show "Finding Your Roots" with Dr. Robert Louis Gates, I got to really thinking about my family lineage "roots." Both of my Grandmothers kept family trees and information. Unfortunately, I do not keep in contact with my Father's side of the family...and after his mother's death in 1998, that Family Tree information's existence is unknown...it was kept on a bed sheet.
After my Grandmother on my mother's side had passed away, her youngest daughter (my Aunt) obtained the information that my grandmother had kept. While researching the family, I went online to sites such as WikiTree, Ancestry, My Heritage, Find-A-Grave, Google, My Trees, Family Search, and other sites. Some information came from culling family members' Facebook pages, and asking questions.
Both sides of the family have information on Ancestry...but due to my limited funds, and lack of a credit card, I cannot afford a membership to access the site. That is why I want to put this information up onto a blog so ALL family members can see the information...FOR FREE!!!
There are other Genealogists within the family. My Aunt (Kay Martin) and Cousin (Elizabeth Pagnard-English) maintained profiles on WikiTree...another Cousin (Ronald Scott) has a site on My Heritage, and another Cousin (Pamela Scott-Snodgrass) has "Snodgrass Family" information, that was maintained by her Mother-In-Law (June Hines-Snodgrass).
There is also a book by Katharine Chapin-Higgins who wrote about her husband's (Milton Prince Higgins) family sometime after 1870. That entire book has at least eleven thousand names in it, dating back to a John Higgins Sr., who was born in 1528. I am currently re-organizing, and added some names of extended family to the "Higgins Book." I also found a website maintained by a Robert "Bob" Young, who is also descended from the Higgins line of the family tree. It was also recently learned that Katharine wrote an "addendum" to her original book. That information is harder to obtain at this time.
My research spans both sides of my family...my Father's "Clark side," and my Mother's "Martin side." Some searches were really easy to find...while others were a bit harder. Thus, research is still on-going.
As of August 26, 2016, I have a master list of family names at over six thousand eight hundred (6, 800) names...but only about eight hundred profiles that have been completely put together. Soon, I hope to work on an actual family tree...but first, I need to find all the family members I can.
The lists work in this fashion...
NAME (Birthdate\Place){Death Date\Place}
m. SPOUSE'S NAME (Birthdate\Place)[Marriage Date]{Death Date\Place}
>CHILD (Birthdate\Place){Death Date\Place}
>>GRANDCHILD (Birthdate\Place){Death Date\Place}
If there is no information after the name, then I do not have those details yet, and will be added in the future.
There are at least four lists connected to me...CLARK...HIGGINS...MARTIN...and PAYTON, but there will be some other family lists that I cannot connect to the main four as of yet.

These lists are in no way complete. They will require constant editing, and posts with old edits will be deleted. Some information MAY be incorrect, and needs to be corrected. I will be setting up a Facebook Group page for all contact. This blog also has a comment section for use as well.
